where live the brave and kind
bring us your heart and strength
and may your spirit wade away
BrookClan is a strong Clan, with a reputation for being brave and very protective. They have been compared to mother bears due to their protectiveness of Clan and territory, and many nursery tales tell of their brute ways. However, BrookClan is a loving Clan. They have much love for one another, and will not allow one of their Clanmates to be harmed without jumping in to defend them. They can come across as confrontational and angry, but they are very compassionate cats.
BrookClan values bravery and kindness above most traits. They think that any cat who is not brave is not a true warrior. They also think that any cat who is not kind to their fellows is not worth kindness themselves. They are a Clan that will rise up against an enemy purely to benefit one member, and stick together through thick and thin. If you are not protective of your Clanmates in this Clan, you do not belong. Cats of this Clan tend to be daredevils, as they want to show their bravery off. Many apprentices have been known to jump from the top of the falls into the pool below, or climb to the top of the tallest tree. They tend to look down on those who they see as cowardly and selfish, and come off as confrontational when they see a threat to one of their fellows.
BrookClan lives in the most forested part of the Clan's homes. Many brooks and streams run through their territory, and they have developed thick, water resistant coats and strong legs for swimming. They are able to push themselves through churning water with ease, and enjoy going for a swim whenever they can. They are able to catch fish as well as the other land prey around their territory, due to this adaption to water. BrookClan cats range in size more drastically than other Clans. There are many strong, broad shouldered cats who have trained battle down to their bones, and there are the more sleek cats who are better adept at moving through water without too much resistance. They are used to trees and vegetation covering their heads, and dislike being in the open, where they feel easily visible and unprotected.
