“Blessed are those who believe, for indeed they shall fly.” - Guardians of Ga’HooleOur legends are told throughout the owl kingdoms. They call us honourable, noble; the servants of justice. Our deeds are known well. To speak of the Guardians of Ga’Hoole is to bring warmth to the heart. Our lives do not. They know nothing. They see only the knight’s armour and not the flesh. We are not the shining heroes of their dreams. We are owls who carry a great burden. But who can blame us? We have seen more reddened talons than our minds could ever hold. We have heard the screams of the dying and the forsaken. We have felt our comrades being torn from limb to limb in our hearts. The rain of blood can truly blur the line between friend and foe. We are like any owl. We too are frail. We too suffered even before we became Guardians. All that is different is that we chose to fight rather than to flee. We denied our fate and must suffer the consequences. Our lives have beauty but they are filled with agony. This is no fairytale, stranger. Happy endings do not come easy. The choice to lead a Guardian’s life is not one that should be taken lightly. If this does not daunt you, stranger, then would you fly with us? Home | Newbie Guide | About
